This policy explains what information TTAT Analytics accesses through Google and YouTube, how it is used, where it is stored, when it is shared and how access can be removed.

1. About TTAT Analytics

TTAT Analytics is a private, internal analytics utility operated by Thirty Three And A Third for the Thirty Three And A Third YouTube channel. It runs on the operator's own computer. It is not offered as a public service, is not available to other YouTube channels and currently has no users other than the channel's operator.

In this policy, "we" and "the operator" mean Thirty Three And A Third. "You" means a person who authorizes TTAT Analytics with a Google Account, which in practice is the channel's owner.

2. Current status

TTAT Analytics collects live, read-only YouTube channel and analytics data for the Thirty Three And A Third channel when its operator runs it, and stores that data only on the operator's Mac. It remains a private, internal utility for this one channel; it is not a public analytics service and is not offered to other channels. The storage, refresh and deletion practices described in this policy are in effect.

3. YouTube API Services

TTAT Analytics uses YouTube API Services. By using TTAT Analytics, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

Information that Google provides to TTAT Analytics is also subject to the Google Privacy Policy. TTAT Analytics is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google or YouTube.

4. Information accessed

TTAT Analytics uses Google OAuth 2.0. You sign in on Google's own pages; TTAT Analytics never sees your Google password. TTAT Analytics requests only these two read-only permissions:

  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly
    View your YouTube account information.
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/yt-analytics.readonly
    View YouTube Analytics reports for your content.

TTAT Analytics collects data only for the Thirty Three And A Third channel; a sign-in for any other channel is refused before anything is stored. Using the two permissions above, it accesses and stores:

  • Channel information: the channel ID, name, handle and creation date, and channel statistics such as subscriber, view and video counts.
  • Video information: video IDs, titles, publication times, durations and privacy status, and public statistics such as view, like and comment counts.
  • YouTube Analytics reports: aggregated performance figures for the channel and its videos, by day and by period: views, estimated watch time, average view duration, average percentage viewed, subscribers gained and lost, likes, comments and shares.
  • Audience retention, for videos where YouTube provides it.
  • Aggregated breakdowns by traffic source, country, device type, playback location and subscriber status, where YouTube provides them.
  • Shorts or regular video: each video's classification, taken from YouTube Analytics' own content-type reporting. Videos that YouTube has not yet classified are recorded as unknown.

Video descriptions and tags are intentionally not collected. Not every figure is available for every video or period; figures YouTube does not provide are recorded as unavailable and are never estimated.

YouTube Analytics reports are aggregated statistics. TTAT Analytics does not request or receive personal information about individual viewers, and it does not access the contents of your Google Account beyond the YouTube information described above.

5. How information is used

Information is used only to report on, analyze and visualize the performance of the Thirty Three And A Third channel: for example, comparing episodes and Shorts, following trends over time and understanding subscriber growth, so the channel can make better creative decisions.

TTAT Analytics does not upload, modify or delete YouTube content, and it does not change channel settings. Information from Google is not used for advertising and is not sold. TTAT Analytics does not display advertising and does not allow third parties to serve content.

6. Calculated figures

TTAT Analytics may calculate additional values from YouTube-provided data, for example net subscriber change (subscribers gained minus subscribers lost), watch time in hours and views per day. These values are identified as calculations made by TTAT Analytics, are shown together with the YouTube values they are based on and are never presented as YouTube-provided metrics.

7. Where information is stored

Sign-in credentials

  • The OAuth client configuration for TTAT Analytics is kept in a file on the operator's computer that only the operator's user account can read.
  • The refresh token that lets TTAT Analytics renew its read-only access is stored in the macOS Keychain on the operator's computer.
  • Short-lived access tokens are held in memory while TTAT Analytics runs and are not written to files.
  • Credentials, tokens and client secrets are never included in reports or in this website.

YouTube data and reports

Collected YouTube data, and the summaries generated from it, are stored only on the local disk of the operator's Mac, in TTAT Analytics' own application data area, in folders that only the operator's macOS user account can open. This data is kept separate from the channel's shared production storage and its normal production backups. It is not stored on this website, on any server operated by Thirty Three And A Third or in any cloud service.

Activity logs

TTAT Analytics keeps activity logs in the same local application data area. They record events such as sign-in checks, the channel ID confirmed during sign-in, collection results and errors. Logs are filtered to exclude credentials and tokens.

8. Sharing

  • Information obtained from Google is not sold, and it is not shared with advertisers, data brokers or information resellers.
  • AI-assisted analysis. At the operator's own direction, reports generated by TTAT Analytics may be provided to an AI assistant, such as ChatGPT from OpenAI, to help analyze the channel's performance. TTAT Analytics never sends data to an AI service by itself; a report is shared only when the operator chooses to provide it. These reports contain channel and video performance information. They never intentionally include OAuth credentials, access tokens, refresh tokens, client secrets or other authentication material. Once a report has been provided to an AI assistant, that copy is handled under the provider's own terms and privacy policy (for OpenAI, see the OpenAI Privacy Policy) and cannot be deleted by TTAT Analytics.
  • Information is not otherwise shared with anyone, except where disclosure is required by law.

9. Retention, refresh and deletion

TTAT Analytics runs only when the operator starts it; it has no background process. Each time it collects data or checks its sign-in, it applies the rules below, which follow the YouTube API Services Developer Policies. So that these checks happen within the policies' time limits, the operator runs TTAT Analytics at least every 30 days while YouTube data is stored, or deletes the stored data.

  • Statistics and analytics results are kept only as long as needed to analyze the channel's performance, and only while authorization remains active. Authorization is confirmed each time TTAT Analytics collects data or checks its sign-in.
  • Titles, publication times, durations and the channel name and handle are refreshed each time data is collected. Copies older than 30 days, including collection summaries that contain titles, are deleted the next time TTAT Analytics collects data or checks its sign-in.
  • Removed videos: each collection checks which videos still exist and deletes stored data about videos that have been removed, including stored API responses that mention them.
  • If sign-in stops working because access was revoked or can no longer be renewed, TTAT Analytics records this. Unless access is restored, it deletes the stored YouTube data the first time it collects data or checks its sign-in at least 7 days later. Because TTAT Analytics is used only by the channel's operator, the operator will also ensure that stored YouTube data is deleted within 30 days of any revocation.
  • Signing out within TTAT Analytics asks Google to revoke its access, removes the saved sign-in from the macOS Keychain and immediately deletes all stored YouTube data, summaries and earlier activity logs from its application data area on the operator's computer. If Google does not confirm the revocation, nothing is removed locally without the operator's confirmation.
  • Deleting data without signing out: TTAT Analytics can immediately delete all stored YouTube data, summaries and earlier activity logs from its application data area while keeping the sign-in. A deletion request sent to the contact address below will be completed within 7 days.

Records of raw YouTube responses are not changed while they may be kept and are never silently overwritten. Deletions required by these rules are carried out as explicit, logged operations.

10. Revoking access

In addition to TTAT Analytics' own sign-out and deletion procedures described in section 9, you can revoke TTAT Analytics' access to your data at any time through the Google security settings page: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. Revoking access there stops TTAT Analytics from retrieving any further information; stored data is then deleted as described in section 9.

11. This website

This website contains only static pages. It sets no cookies, uses no JavaScript, and contains no analytics, tracking, advertising or third-party fonts. It does not store anything on your device.

The site is hosted by GitHub Pages. Like most web hosts, GitHub may process technical information such as visitors' IP addresses to operate and secure its service; see the GitHub General Privacy Statement. Thirty Three And A Third does not receive or use that information.

12. Changes to this policy

If TTAT Analytics' data practices change, the updated policy will be published on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
